Peter Bjorn and John

Last night Sarah I. and went to see the 3-man band Peter Bjorn and John (yes, they ignore punctuation) at the Music Box at Henry Fonda theater in Hollywood.

I am new to the concert scene as I have only recently discovered and entered the world of Super Cool Music. And while I am STOKED to discover the joys and merriment of live music, I also want to be selective about who I go see so as to retain my child-like wonder and the belief that all bands are better live. I have seen Saturday Night Live enough to know that that is not really true except in some cases. Which is CRIMINAL.

(Bjorn on bass, John on drums, Peter on vocals)

PB & J is a group I have just discovered recently, and it was love at first listen. Their album “Writer’s Block” is the only one I own and it is so totally awesome, it, like, totally makes me want to stay up all night and dance around my room with a brush in my hand, pretending I am part of Peter Bjorn John and Holly. Last night I did just that at the concert. Just ask Sarah, who’s face met my left elbow more times than I can count.

  1. Oh my gosh, how do you hear of such bands?? I’ve never heard of these people, but I’m pretty sure I will love them because it’s the initials of my favorite lunch sandwich. Coincidence?? I think not!

  2. Hi friend! Thanks for letting me crash the show with you, what a fab evening…I have found myself (attempting is a better word) whistling their tunes (while I work). :)
